My mum made me do spelling exercises every evening since I was 7. Only to replace spelling with vocabularies. I hated her for it. She certainly knew but chose to do it anyway. She could only hope that I would be able to reflect on this later and realise how hard this must have been for her.
80% of the time should be spent on defining the problem... then the solution becomes obvious
